A Residents Perspective – Step inside Piccolo’s Fitzroy House

“When I walk in, I feel like I’m home, which is something you don’t always get in an apartment.” Jen, Fitzroy House resident.

In our short video, Jen and Rick invite us inside their beautiful residence at Fitzroy House, and share what life is like living in this delightful pocket of Melbourne.

Keen to move from their home in South Yarra to a vibrant area within easy reach of the city’s theatres and galleries, the couple stumbled across the Fitzroy House development purely by accident, when they visited the display suite with friends.

“We fell in love with the fact it was an old, heritage building and the way the modern residences connect with its history,” says Rick.

The supreme liveability of the apartments, with their light-filled, open living spaces, seamless indoor-outdoor connection, and exceptional-quality fixtures and finishes, impressed them too. It didn’t take the couple long to decide this was the home they’d been looking for.

Today, they’re enjoying everything that Fitzroy House has to offer. “When I open the front door, I feel like I’m home, which is something you don’t always get in an apartment building. The quality of the apartment is beyond what I’d hoped for. And we’re surrounded by people who are part of our community now,” says Jen.

“We love living in Fitzroy because everything’s here – there are probably 20 different cuisines within 80 metres of the building,” says Rick. “And we can walk to the city, see shows, visit art galleries – they’re all within walking distance,” adds Jen.

Their new home also gives them the freedom to indulge their love of travel, without having to worry about security or upkeep. “Everything is designed to be low maintenance, so we can simply lock up and leave,” says Rick.

Or they can create treasured memories closer to home; “We love entertaining, and we can throw open the sliding doors and have 20 or 30 people here easily,” he says. The couple even held their eldest daughter’s wedding here recently. “We had 50 of our nearest and dearest family and friends out on the terrace and it was just beautiful,” says Jen.
