A Piccolo House – Gore Street, Fitzroy Prototype Suite: Bringing the Lived Experience to Life
Embarking on the journey of acquiring a new home is no small feat – it’s a financial commitment intertwined with emotions and dreams. And it can often be hard to imagine the day-to-day experience of living in a space before it is completed. For this reason, we have always given the highest dedication to the creation of our prototype suites. The goal of our prototype suites is to offer prospective residents an honest experience of what life will be like in A Piccolo House.
With the prototype suite for A Piccolo House – Gore Street, Fitzroy, we worked with our long-term, valued partners (and collaborators on the entire development), architecture practice Woods Bagot and interior design firm, Hecker Guthrie. Together, we created a dynamic and immersive space that captured the unique character, scale, features and timeless beauty of a residence at 385 Gore Street.
Here, we invited future residents to experience first-hand our vision of sophisticated, inner-city living on a grand scale, giving them the opportunity to walk through the generously proportioned rooms, gaze up at the high ceilings, touch the exquisite, natural finishes, such as the artful terrazzo benchtops and warm oak joinery, and feel the overriding sense of calm.
We are incredibly proud of the prototype suite created for A Piccolo House – Gore Street, Fitzroy – even more so when it recently won GOLD in the Pop-Ups, Prototype, Exhibit and Set Design category in the 2023 Melbourne Design Awards. These awards celebrate the very best of Melbourne design across a number of categories, including architecture, interior design and product design, so it was an honour to have our work recognised.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Woods Bagot, Hecker Guthrie and Acre for helping us bring this space to life.
