Melding a bayside lifestyle with architectural depth, Elwood House captures a crafted presence to its village environment, where every residence is uniquely composed, and luxury lives in the details.
Elwood House brings a quiet refinement to its beachside setting. A collaboration with Woods Bagot and Hecker Guthrie it reflects both the character of Elwood and Piccolo House’s steadfast pursuit of quality. Designed as a natural extension of its streetscape, the building is softened by mature plantings and a ground-floor café now woven into daily local life.
By taking a deliberate approach to make it be more than just a building, Elwood House feels innately residential. Every apartment is conceived as its own home, each one distinct. Exposed concrete, hand-laid Danish bricks and planter-lined balconies anchor the façade in the language of the surrounding village.
Inside, materials offer both depth and ease: grey Aether stone, weathered brass and American oak cabinetry come together with an assured precision, allowing each space to evolve with its residents.
Apartments open generously to landscaped terraces and the coastal air beyond, supporting a lifestyle that is expansive, grounded and attuned to place. No two homes are the same, and that’s the point. Elwood House rejects the repetition of typical multi-residential design in favour of individuality, craft and a desire to instil a sense of belonging among its residents.
“Every time we work with Piccolo, we take the criteria for apartment design to a whole new level.”
Nik Karalis, Architect, Woods Bagot
Elwood House is apartment living made personal, where luxury is found not in excess, but in the details that make each home unmistakably its own.
